About “Sessions” and “Cookies”

Wellfleet utilizes Session variables on some transactions, such as enrollment confirmation, to enable users to utilize this website.  A “Session” is server-side storage of information that operates during your interaction with the Wellfleet website or Wellfleet programs. During a session, your computer would store only the “Session id,” allowing more significant information to be stored on the Wellfleet server. When you close your browser, this session’s information disappears. It is not stored at Wellfleet or on your pc or mobile device.

A “Cookie” is an element of data that we send to your browser when you link to our website.  It is not a computer program and has no ability to read data residing on your computer or instruct it to perform any step or function.  Our Cookie does not extract personal information.  Our Cookie also acts to verify you as a unique visitor to the website and allows you to access your information in a safe and secure manner.

When browsing a web site, a Cookie identifies only your computer’s browser. Any Cookie set on your computer by Wellfleet is used for the sole purpose of identifying you as a return site visitor and is not shared with any other website.
