Welcome to Wellfleet

A Platform For Growth

Founded in 1993, Consolidated Health Plans has provided superior insurance solutions by being accessible, responsive, and flexible. In recent years, our team has grown immensely. With that growth, the list of products and services we provide has grown, too.

This rapid growth led to rebranding and renaming the company and its entities to better align our corporate mission and vision to the various product lines we serve.

As announced at our recent 25th Anniversary Open House celebration, CHP will become Wellfleet beginning Jan. 7, 2019.

Under the Wellfleet name, we’ll continue to deliver customer-centric insurance solutions with quality service and uncompromising ethics — protecting people against risk throughout every stage of life.

A Consistent Message & Experience

Our renaming and rebranding project enables our three entities — Consolidated Health Plans, Commercial Casualty Insurance Co., and Atlanta International Insurance Co. — to live under one go-to-market name. Wellfleet will underwrite coverage on Wellfleet Insurance Co., and Wellfleet New York Insurance Co. and service clients and members through four distinct brand lines.

Wellfleet will continue to provide Student Health Insurance, Accident, ICS, Stop Loss, and more. CHP Student Health will transition to Wellfleet Student Health for the 2019/2020 school year.

Wellfleet Special Risk provides Participant Accident, International Medical, K-12, Business Travel, and Accident coverage in addition to ancillary benefits.

Launching Jan. 1, Wellfleet Workplace will offer Critical Illness, Accident, and Disability products -- helping members fill gaps in their health insurance and protect the people they care about.

On Jan. 7, BeRx -- our student-focused pharmacy solution -- will transition to Wellfleet Rx and continue to provide pharmacy solutions designed exclusively for the college student population.

As we’ve grown from a Third Party Administrator of insurance products and solutions to a full-fledged Health and Accident carrier, we’ve realized the need to better represent the collective value our company brings to the market. Under Wellfleet, our company and carriers will live under one go-to-market name. Wellfleet will underwrite coverage on Wellfleet Insurance Co., and Wellfleet New York Insurance Co. and service clients and members through four distinct brand lines.

No. In 2011, Consolidated Health Plans became a Berkshire Hathaway company. Our rebranding efforts are not a result of being acquired, but rather because of the opportunity we see in aligning our corporate entities and the brands under them.

Wellfleet works under the vision of protecting people against risk throughout all stages of life. To accomplish this, we offer products, services, and solutions under four distinct brand lines that cover members for life: CHP Student Health, Wellfleet Workplace, Wellfleet Special Risk, and Wellfleet Rx.

Our targeted transition date is January 7, 2019. On this date, we will go to market as Wellfleet through our brand lines: Wellfleet Workplace, Wellfleet Rx, Wellfleet Special Risk, and CHP Student Health.

With respect to our existing student health clients and members, we will not be transitioning the CHP Student Health brand name until after the 2018-2019 plan and school year. Student members, clients, and broker partners will begin seeing the Wellfleet name and logo co-branded with CHP Student Health starting on Jan. 7, 2019. Beginning on July 1, 2019, CHP Student Health will officially become Wellfleet Student Health.
